Indiana Jones On The Big Island

The Big Island of Hawaii is a great place to use for movie scenes. Recently the new Indiana Jones movie was on Hilo side filming a scene which is set in a South American rainforest. The filming began when the Big Island was preparing for Hurricane Beryl. But luckly it turned into a tropical storm. The major castmembers are made up of Shia LaBeouf, Cate Blanchett, Ray Winstone, Karen Allen, and of course Harrison Ford. Melissa Stubbs, a stunt double for both actresses, said that the script was being kept confidental, that even she did not know what they were doing that day until they arrived at the set. She also said that she didn't know how it turned out for whatever part in the movie it was for. The movie is once again directed by Steven Speilberg and produced by George Lucas.

This is a great chance for the Big Island to show the world what it has to offer. It has great scenery ,it shows that the island can keep up with the world of technology. It is also great because the money the Big Island will receive ($22 million to $45 million) will go straight to the local economy.

The plot nor the title of the film has surfaced yet but people have been speculating what the title might be. "Indiana Jones and The City Of Gods" is among the contenders of the title. The film will be released on May 22, 2008
